Here's my favorite deal at Food Lion this week!

There are two FLIPs out this week that I've been using!

One is for a FREE gallon of Hawaiian Punch when you buy 2 cans of Chef Boyardee!

Buy 2 cans of Chef Boyardee and one gallon of Hawaiian Punch.
Chef Boyardee is on sale for $1.00 each this week
Hawaiian Punch is on sale for $2.00 for a gallon
Total before coupons with be $4.00

The coupon for a free can of Chef Boyardee when you buy a gallon of Hawaiian Punch will take off $1.00
The coupon for a free gallon of Hawaiian punch when you buy two cans of Chef Boyardee will take off $2.79 (because this is the retail price of a gallon of Hawaiian Punch).

My total after using these coupons was $0.35 for two cans of Chef Boyardee and One Gallon of Hawaiian Punch!

This a great price to stock up with! My husband loves Chef Boyardee! He's a kid at heart! I will be taking advantage of this deal to stock up! The coupons don't expire until July 7th!

Freebies in the mail!

Today was a fantastic mail day today! I'm kind of addicted to free samples so I look forward to checking the mail everyday!
Today I got:
Free sample of Degree for men deodorant
Free sample of Jack Daniels Barbecue sauce
Free sample of RohtoV eye drops
Free Cookbook from Nakano, and a coupon for a free bottle of Nakano Rice Vinegar! YAY!
I also got a check for $25.00 from the Taco Bell Blast for Cash contest that I won a few weeks ago!

A few days ago I got a gift certificate to Outback in the mail, from a nice reader! So, now I'm thinking that me and my Husband might be able to have a nice night out on the town with out Outback gift certificate, or I also still have my BOGO Ruby tuesday coupon, and now I have $25 from Taco Bell! YAY!

Wow! It's been awhile!

Sorry, it's been so long without a post! I've been busy with housework and studying and job hunting!
I just thought I'd give an update on how we celebrated our anniversary!
On Wednesday (which was our four year anniversary!) David took off of work early and surprised me at home with a movie that I had been wanting to see! The movie was not good, but it was so nice to have my husband home and to cuddle up with him, especially when I was not expecting it!
On Friday night we had a bunch of friends over to hang out at our house! It was a very nice night and I got to be hostess which is something I love doing! I prepared all the food and spent hours that day cleaning and getting everything ready! It was a very nice night!
We had wanted to go out to celebrate, but we couldn't afford to! However, I don't think we could have had a better time even if we did have money! We had a blast and I can't wait for our five year anniversary!

Harris Teeter SUPER DOUBLES Deals!

These are the deals I got at Harris Teeter SUPER DOUBLES today! Except for the soy joy bars, I got those at CVS today! My cat was very impressed!
My total at CVS for 20 Soy Joy bars and 2 Sobe Life Waters was $2.09 and I came out with $4 in ECBS!
At Harris Teeter my total before coupons was over $70 and after coupons I paid $19.47! A savings of about 72%. I was very excited with my purchases! There were lots of great markdowns in the produce department today as well!

Final Cost = 2 two liters of Dr. Pepper and 5 candy bars FREE

Lays Potato Chips BOGO $3.99
Bought 2 used $1/2 coupon from July All You magazine
Final cost = $2 for 2 bags of potato chips!

I think I will actually make another trip to Harris Teeter for this promotion! I was really pleased with it, although I still want to have Harris Teeter triples and I hope this will not be a permanent change, but it was a nice change of pace!

Completely free date night with the hubs!

My 4 year wedding anniversary is this Wednesday, and I can't afford to go all out celebrating, even though I would like to! So I've decided to celebrate every night this week, in small ways! Tonight we had an AWESOME completely free date! We ate spaghetti and meatballs and garlic toast for dinner, all of the items I got for FREE using coupons and sales! It was a delicious meal eaten by candlelight of course! We also used a free redbox code to score the movie "Valkyrie" for free! It was such a nice night, and it cost nothing, but made some amazing memories!
I'll continue to post about all of the "budget" date ideas I can come up with this week! If you have any suggestions please leave a comment! It can be hard to celebrate an important event on a limited budget, but I'm looking forward to making the most of this milestone!

Triples deals! $5 Dollar challenge results!

I did not do well with the five dollar challenge this week! I was doing it for myself this week, and when I found out about triples at Food Lion, I knew I had to stock up on the good deals! All total I spent $11.03 for everything in this picture! I think I still got some awesome deals! I'm probably going to do a little more shopping this weekend as well, because triples is lasting all weekend, and I'll post more deal pics if I do!

All total I saved $51.00, a savings of about 78%
I also can't wait for Harris Teeter SUPER DOUBLES!

Harris Teeter and Food Lion Doing New Coupon Promotions!

In certain areas of south and central VA Food Lion will be tripling coupons this coming up weekend!!!(6/19-6/21) I'm so excited! Food Lion never even doubles, so tripling is amazing! They will triple up to $0.99, with a limit of 20 coupons per transaction! Check your local ad to see if your store is participating! I'll post deals as soon as I can!


Also, Harris Teeter is doing a new promotion next week. (6/24-6/30) Instead of tripling coupons like they normally do, they are doing SUPER DOUBLES, which means they will be doubling coupons up to $1.98 in value! This should make for some interesting finds, and maybe open up some new items for us to get at Harris Teeter. I don't know about you, but I find that I tend to get the same items over and over during Harris Teeter triples. Maybe, this type of promotion will enable a little more variety! I have not actually seen this Harris Teeter ad yet because it does not come out until next week so I'm not sure what the sales will be, or what stores are participating. I'll let you know when that information becomes available. Until then, you can go to Hot Coupon World and see what deals they are preparing for this event!
